What happens if a person is on parole and pops hot on a UA?
Time served was for non-violent, non-drug related charges?
Thanks...
Note~~~ I am not a kid and this isn't about me. A friend asked me this and since I have never done time or been arrested I just don't have a clue. Was hoping to get some 'real' answers.
Thank you to those who have provided informational answers so far.

It depends on the terms of parole. When a person is paroled they agree to certain conditions. If they fail to meet those conditions they can be returned to jail for some or all of the remaining time.
Simple solution: Know the terms of parole and stick to them. A deal was made, the parolee has an obligation to meet those terms they agreed too.

It's against the rules to do the drugs (or the dope, as you kid's say nowadays) while on Parole, so you would probably get kicked off the team. Parole has a pretty nice A-squad, saw them take down Syracuse last Tuesday.

If the person is one of mine, they generally do 4 days jail the first time, and then it starts getting more serious.
More generally, it can vary depending on where you are and how often this has been a problem. It's fair to say that few people would be sent back to prison the first time, but consequences tend to get more serious as time goes on.

probably the same that would happen if the crime had been a violent charge. You could be fined, or serve jail time, but then again, i have no clue.
