Out of all the racing crashes that you have seen, which one is the worst?

1955 at Le Mans. Pierre Levegh crashes his Mercedes into the stands, killing himself and 83 spectators. The race continued for another 21 hours, with a decapitated body dangling from wires over the grandstand.

Honorable mention: 1964 at Indianapolis. Dave McDonald and Eddie Sachs were both burned to death if front of 300,000 people. Hundreds of fans fled for their lives, and they have never used gasoline at the Indy 500 since.

mine. i flipped 11 times and flew into the stands. the car then caught on fire while i was unconscious. i walked away with only 3 broken ribs and a couple burns.
