gateway laptop battery fried or is it the charger?
My mom's laptop is about 3 years old. It's a Gateway MT6705. She has plugged in the wrong charger for it several times, and now when I plug the correct charger in, the red light on the front just blinks. I finally got it to come on a couple of times, but the battery indicator icon in the taskbar said like 1% battery remaining and then 0% battery remaining. Could the battery be so drained that it will no longer charge? Could hooking the wrong charger up to it drain the battery? Is it the battery or the charger? I don't want to spend $80 on a battery and it not be whats wrong with it. Any help would be appreciated.
