Honestly YFFL, people who dont watch baseball will claim it was dirty. The people who actually do realize it was not intetional are correct and understand the game. For many reasons. Why would he put a runner on base to put a runner in scoring position. Think about it, and the Giants have the worst offense in baseball. So oyu actually think he wanted to face sheffield with a runner on first and second. And you can look at Cains passed and he has never done anything intentionally and has never been known as a dirty player. And I have no problem with Santana retaliating thats what he is suppose to do. The funny thing people are calling Cain's pitch dirty and intentional after seeing Santana throw behind Sandovals back then the next batter molina is beaned. But hey I understand Santana did not hit molina intentionally because I watch baseball.
To Go Mets Fan 09
If you actually watched the game and listened the the announcers, when Cain lifted his bill when taken out of the games, he was apologizing to mets fans for hitting wright in the head. How many players do that. Cain is a class act. Angry mets fans like yourself just plan on hating Cain because he pitched well.

There's no way Cain meant to hit Wright. There was absolutely no reason for him to do so. And Cain was only tipping his hat to the large section of Giants fans right behind the visitor's dugout who are traveling with the team on a special promotion.
Bosco: Yeah, your Dodgers would know a thing or two about throwing at batters intentionally for no good reason, wouldn't they?

No way, I was watching on tv, the pitch slipped and accidently hit David Wright on the head, and while the team doctor was checking on Wright, they showed Matt Cain he was pretty shaken up about it. No way was it on purpose.

I Know Cain didn't Wright on purpose! Cain's a good player and sport and when he tipped his hat..he was trying to apologize to the Met fans but some are to blind to see that they just prefer to hate him..which isn't right.. Even though I like Santana I will bring up on this.. Santana had no right to "try" to hit Sandoval and hit Molina But I know those weren't intentional!
Also To GO Mets 09!
You first made fun of the Phillies by saying they take Steroids NOW you say the Giants stink? You are a jerk your just jealous that Cain was pitching a good game today! Angry mets fans like yourself just plan on hating Cain because he pitched well. you sore loser...

No, it was clearly (CRYSTAL) intentional.. It slipped and it unfortunately hit Wright on the head. I hope he's okay btw
I don't even think this is worth debating about, Cain is a classy young fellow with a lot of talent. In fact he looked very sorry afterwards it was written all over his face.

Accidental. Why would he hit Wright with an 0-2 count, a runner on, and no outs?
Have a "goo" day? :D lol

No Matt Cain is too nice of a guy to do that...Even the announcers on tv pointed that out.

Ummmmm no, any smart person can see Cain's reaction was sympathetic, Cain is not that type of pitcher anyway....The tip of the hat however was AWESOME!!
Giants win in extra innings!!
Best wishes to David Wright!!

you all right what a class act matt cain is huh? he is so nice he even tipped his hat tpo mets fans in the same game that he almost killed one fo their players... what i role model i wanna be like him one day. grow the hell up the guy threw at wright. you dont miss by 6 feet and still throw it 94 mph and just happen to hit the guy in the head... yah mets suck gients are doing well... it doesnt change the fact that cain was obviously pissed off about something and took it out on wright ... get over it people he threw at him he is human and he made a mistake. stop defending him. if he is really sorry he would say he is.

Certainly not. it was an 0-2 count, 0 outs (if i remember correctly), and a man on first with the number 4 batter coming up? There's no way he did it on purpose.
Plus, Cain is a good sport.
