Bush found out that Cheney was leading him and the wrong direction and they had a not so pleasant split in ideas. It was a smart move for Bush to distance himself from Cheney.

I'm not sure they are accustions: Cheney wishes Bush had paid more attention to him the second term. I think Bush should have paid less attention to Cheney the first. I'm not sure Bush folded to public opinion toward the end-that piece of waffle work before 9/11, the stem cell funding, showed that public image sort of clouded his better judgement prior to the WOT. As for the fiscal side, he always spent like a Democrat. It just became painfully obvious when he made that riddiculous statement about the Free Market.

I only know he wanted Scooter to be pardoned.

I have heard more from Cheney in the last 7

months than the 8 yrs he was VP.

Haven't read them-but I totally disagreed with Bush over the TARP money and no public scrutiny or oversite of how it was spent.

We must stop giving politicians free reign when it comes to spending OUR money.

I think it means that Bush finally found a backbone and stopped doing every single thing Cheney asked him to. More power to him.

I agree with the first response, Bush shouldn't have listened to him the first time around.

Dick Cheney is an evil man, I don't believe anything he says whether it disses Bush or not...
