Are you glad to be in a capitalist country?

My daughter hates money. She says that you need it, but, as soon as you get it, it is gone.

An interesting quote from another Yahoo:

Marxism (like Capitalism) focuses mostly on conflict, control, and disintegration.

Marxism is impractical. Note Russia and some other failed countries. The only reason why China is a success is because they have adopted some forms of capitalism. So socialism is really probably more practical and sustainable. Marxism isn't practical from a human standpoint - its been tried many times and has failed in its pure form every time - comrad!

    not especially

Marxism is impractical, and so is capitalism. Marx predicted that true communism could never take hold until capitalism failed (unfortunately there may be a race between this and the end of the world with the arms race and other factors that are largely due to capitalist thinking)

Yes. Sometimes I think that people including myself place too much emphasis on money and materialistic things in general. Yet, I can not see myself moving forward in this world without money, without materialistic things. Without money how would I travel, or make my mark in the world? How would I ever be noticed unless I had money? Money IS power. If I didn't live in a capitalistic country how powerfull would the country I live in be? Not very.

Yes many of us are controlled though money and it segregates many of us but if it wasn't money wouldn't it be something else?

It's nice to always have the opportunity to change your financial situation and be successful but in capitalism there are many obstacles built in to prevent most people from truly succeeding. Despite these obstacles we Americans have a strong desire to succeed so despite the many failures of capitalism it is still the best system for our country.
