public option out now what about helpful reform?
I have been against government run public heath care since the beginning. During the debate I did see some interesting ideas. Not for profit insurance companies, cost control measures, expanding medicaid to the poor, reasonable tort reform...
How can we see that any of these options are followed up on?

Insurance companies, hospitals and doctors should not be looking to turn a profit on the well being of the American people. That is what got us into this predicament to begin with.
When the profit factor is taken out of the health care equation, maybe then we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
Health care should not be a business with profit margins to meet, it should be a right of every tax-paying American citizen whether they be rich, poor, young or old.
