Do you guys think I'm a jerk?
Apparently, some times I come off the wrong way. Maybe I'm too honest...I don't know. I just want you all to know that it is never my intention to hurt anyone's feelings, although I don't mind giving people some tough love if they need it.
So anyway, do you think I'm a jerk?

No, you're not a jerk. You are just honest and most people can't handle honesty. They want lies. To heck with them

At least the truth comes out. You could waste time by saying, "well you know, it isn't that bad" if the idea sucks, It SUCKS. Just say it. You will be helping your children by telling them what is wrong rather than stroking their ego.
