Should I get the gift off the registry?

I like the same one you do and that is what I will be buying. Maybe ask her and see what she wants I had the first one with my son and it was really uncomfortable and a pain to get him into it.

Get the sling that SHE wants (I have a little one and personally prefer the sling she wants to the one you're interested in buying her ---so, her preference may not only be based on the fact that she doesn't already have experience with babies). She might have back or shoulder problems and want to distribute the weight of the baby evenly over her body). You might think the other sling is better, but the gift is for her and not for you (and maybe she has already researched different types of slings and decided this is the one she really wants/needs). If you don't think that sling is good, I would try to pick something else off the registry that you do think is a good idea. Let someone else be the one who buys her the sling. And actually, if you see that someone else buys the sling she wanted, you can always then buy the sling that you want to get her. You could say, "I saw that someone else bought the sling off the registry, but I figured you could use another one to keep in the diaper bag to use when you are out and about --- and I really liked this one and thought you might enjoy it too." That way she can try out both slings and maybe decide that your sling is indeed better (but, I wouldn't purchase the sling from somewhere else unless someone got her the sling that she wanted already).

She registered for the one she wants. The one you got may have worked for you for reasons that it may not work for her. Just because people are new mothers doesn't mean they don't know what they want or don't want.

I have done a wedding and baby registry. If I go through the time and effort to pick things out that only I will be using, I'd like for people to be kind enough to respect that I am capable of choosing what I want/need.

get the one she picked out. I got a lot of things someone else prefered but I didn't find them helpful at all... just go with what she's asking for.

Get her the one she wants, and include the gift reciept with a note stating something like: sometimes it's trial and error with slings and baby carriers! If you and your little one don't end up liking this one I recomend.....

Why don't you ask her?

Personally, I would like to get what I registered for. If someone felt something else was better, it would be best if they spoke to me about why it was good...etc., so that I could make the final informed decision.

Get the one she wants... even if you don't like it... she did the registry because she likes those particular items.

I would get the one she likes because that is what she likes. Even thoguh you may like the other one she may not like that kind.

i would say get the one she wants that way its for sure shed like it since she chose it or you can mention that one you chose and see what she says
