Could I be feeling my baby moving?

I am 16 weeks pregnant with my first but I'm pretty sure I have felt my baby move off and on for the past week. It feels like a muscle spasm but it is not on the surface like a muscle spasm should be. I asked some of my friends with children and they said there is no way I could be feeling it so early. I really think that is what I feel though. What do you think?

    You could very possibly be feeling the baby. I was feeling my son around 15 to 16 weeks. And I knew it was not gas or anything like that. I know the difference lol.

    I felt my first child move at 17 weeks. I personally think baby movement is different. I can't explain it...its just different. Flutters are the best explanation I can come up with. Good luck. :)

    I am also surprised but if you felt it many times then maybe. Usually second timers feel it early.
