HELP! Kitty has diahrea & I need to know if.....?
Ok Ok so I KNOW why kitty has diahrea, Im an idiot & switched her to a wet food diet without intergrading her foods so her system got used to it & well now she has the squirts. :(
So anyways I was hoping MAYBE someone on here might know something I can give her to help slow it down or make her more comfortable? Please, dont lecture me, Im a veteran pet owner & REALLY should know better but well......I REALLY messed up. Please help if you can, I feel really bad for kitty AND teh BF who is stuck at home this am while Im at work having to clean it ALL up. Thanks.

Get him back on the routine he had before this happened. Time is your cure. BF beware, and take your medicine when you get home to the BF. The cat should recover in two to three days. We humans suffer the same fate. Human laxatives are based on human weight (approx 140 lbs.) and cats are roughly 1/10 that. AND that is difficult to obtain, and the likely hood of getting the dosage right is near impossible. So rule that out. Put the cat in a spare bathroom with plenty of food and water and a place to sleep, and close the door, making sure the kitty wont get too hot, and then deal with the mess when you get home.

EEEEW! You sure did mess up.Poor kitty.Give LOTS of water, and maybe call the vet see if you can give her a teaspoon of Pedialyte
(BUT CHECK WITH VET FIRST),every couple of hours. She probably dehydrated and needs the electrolytes that the "runs" are depleting out of her little system.Kitties can get dehydrated fast cause they're so small. She should be okay in a few days,if not get her to the vet.Keep an eye on her stools and make sure there is no blood. If this happens, vet asap.Good luck.
