How can you find a weird smell?
I stripped wall paper and painted, cleaned my carpets, cleaned curtains and painted ceiling. Everything in livingroom is clean but it has a weird smell in it. I cant figure out what it is so I cant get ride of it.
That is the room smells bad not the carpet.
Its a 16 year old house with central air and no plumming or water of any kind near the room. The carpet seems to smell fine but if the room is closed up in a couple hours it smells bad.

Maybe it is mold. Check to see if you AC unit is leaking. Water coolers smell like fish is that it? How old is your building? What kind of plumbing do you have? Any animals? Lets do process of elimination.

at the toilet bowl just kidding the kind of smell from your question is the from the stuffy house you need to open all the windows rinse the wall with pine sole or any cleaner with deodorizer
