How to know if fluid is filling a kittens body cavities?
I asked yesterday and didn't get any good results, so I'll try again.
My kitten may have the wet from of FIP.
I need to know how to tell if her stomach bloating is from the FIP or if it's from worms (she has been dewormed twice, and will be again this thursday). Her abdomen was not barely swollen 2 nights ago, and when I got up yesterday it was twice the size of the rest of her.
What should her abdomen feel like if it is filled with fluids? Squishy, firm, or hard. It is currently firm, kind of like when she had worms, so I'm not sure if I should worry or not.

It's difficult to tell. If the kitten has already been dewormed twice, that leans more towards the possibility of FIP. I had a foster kitten that had it. He was very uncomfortable and his spine and pelvis were sticking out a bit. He was losing the fat padding over those areas because all the nutrition he was taking in was going into his belly in the form of fluid. You should call your vet if you think something is wrong. Kittens can get very sick very quickly. The vet will be able to tell when they feel her belly whether or not there is fluid in the abdomen.
I'm really sorry you and your kitten are going through this. I hope everything turns out ok.
