Why do farts smell worse in the tub and the shower than they do in regular air?
Everybody knows that passing gas in the tub or the shower magnifies the stink. Why? What makes a fart smell so much worse when it's released under water, or even when you're being showered under a stream of water?

The farts know you're getting clean so they try to stink you up even harder.

a humid fart will interact with your sense of smell (nose) more strongly. And as a moist artifact, it will attach to your nasal hairs so you get to smell it longer.
