I'm not going to take the opportunity to jump up and down with glee, but I for one will certainly not miss his politics or his beliefs that the kennedys were better than all the rest. Murder, rape, and several other unatural acts were avoided for prosecution simply because of the name involved. His 26 years in politics only told me the intelligence of the people of his represented state. A state which I would never live just because of that stupidity. The TV coverage will be much the same as Jacksons I'm sure. I will be glad to not hear the name any longer.

My first reaction is that it is an ill wind. Kennedy had noblesse oblige, concern for those less fortunate than himself and a characteristic increasingly rare. It is a great loss.

My second reaction is that, after all, 77 is pretty good for a man with a drinking problem, that it should come as no great surprise given his well-known health problems. I think what makes it a shock is that now is a time when he is needed more than ever. People seldom die at a point when they are most needed. That is tragedy.

However, on further reflection, it may be that in preparation for the future his work is complete.

It was expected. He wanted to clarify his replacement in the Senate before he died. I guess it will be a up in the air now. Ted Kennedy devoted his adult life to doing good for this country. I am sorry he will not see the Health Bill through to the end.

I have sad feelings for the ones that are left and having to have two funerals on in a couple of weeks together.

I did not agree with the man, but I feel for his loved ones. What's really sad is people on both sides using his death to stir up a fight before his body is even cold.

Since he had brain cancer, I think death is better than having to suffer. However, I do feel sad for his family and our country.

may not agree with all his politics but he represented his constituents well since he was kept in office for so many years. that has to be respected.

I have not always agreed with his politics but he sure gave a lifetime of service to his country and should be admired for it.

It's a great day for America, bad day for his fellow communists...
