Still looking for owner of this cat?

Okay, sorry to post about him again, but there is a question here too.

Found Black and white male cat outside my house this morning. If you live in the Brooks Ave area of Rochester NY and know anything about him , please help me find his mommy and daddy.

I was incorrect in my earlier posts about him being declawed, turns out my husband just couldn't see his claws :/ He has been to the groomer recently, as he shows signs of his coat growing out from a lion cut, and his nails were very recently trimmed.

Now for my question: He hasn't used the litter box since we brought him in. Do you guys think he's one of those outside business doing cats? How would I go about taking him out without loosing him again?

He is going to the vet on Monday if his owners don't show up, the appt. is made. Will stimulating work on an adult. I've never tried.

Thanks!

Update:

We left the house for a few hours and he finally went, Phew!

As for the micro chipping, I don't feel one, but I planned on asking the vet to scan. If the owner turns out to live a distance from us, I'm calling human society on them. He's either a dump or a run away, but if he was a runaway, why did he howl at our house all day vs. his house? He's too loving to be a true stray.

I don't think stimulating will work on an adult cat, but I'm not 100 percent sure of this. I don't know how long it's been since he's gone potty, but sometimes cats don't use litter boxes when they're nervous or in unfamiliar surroundings. My cat has that problem every time I take her to a boarding kennel a couple times per year. She absolutely refuses to use the litter box for the first two days she's there, but then when she finally can't hold it in any longer, she'll use the box. So if the kitty that you found is healthy, I don't think you should worry too much about the litter box issue.

I'm afraid I don't live anywhere near your area (I'm clear across the country in California), so I can't help you find his owners. But I'm glad to hear that you're taking him to a vet on Monday. When you're there, make sure you ask the vet to scan him for a microchip. If he's been microchipped, the owner's information will become available and you can return him to his rightful human family.
