Whats the daftest reason you have heard for someone having a baby.?

I have heard of a Kenyan woman who wanted to have a baby,and got one,just to show her ex- husband and in-laws that she was not barren as they used to accuse her.

It's hard to qualify reasons, but one of my personal reasons that makes me shake my head is the faulty reasoning that having a baby will "keep us together". Seriously, if a relationship is floundering with the two of you, adding a baby isn't going to make anything better. I personally know of several couples who decided a baby was the answer to their relationship problems. All of those children are now products of broken marriages/relationships. I know more women/girls who think this way than men. I have a step-niece who got pregnant twice by the same man in an attempt to keep him. I have no idea why as I found him repulsive. The first baby was miscarried. He left her when she was pregnant. After the miscarriage he came back. She told him she was on the pill even though she wasn't and conceived again. She got pregnant, he left her again. No surprise to any of us, but she couldn't understand why and I still don't think she gets it. He was already married to one woman and had 2 other children by 2 other women. Like I said, it makes me shake my head. I feel the most sorry for the child. His father abandoned him before he was born and mom moved on to a loser who abused him. He's now a severely emotionally disturbed 11 year old floundering in foster care. Both mom and dad have lost parental rights. So sad on all levels.

well i know this girl who used to date my hubbys friend. after they broke up she still wanted him. to make him jealous she started dating this other guy and got pregnant by him. then after the baby was about a month old she brought it to her x boyfriends house and told him she wished it was his, the girl and her mom were like crying and telling him that. i thought that was a pathetic reason.

then i cant say for 100% sure if this is why, but i think a girl got pregnant because of me. we were friends and she was dating a different friend of my hubbys (boyfriend back then) and she would tell me she was on birth control and they used the pull out method. she would freak out each month that it was about time fro her period. she did not want a baby. even after we stopped talking she kept talking to her now x boyfriend and was asking if you could get pregnant from pre ***. same old stories she didnt want a baby. well then like a few months later i got pregnant and i found out she (she was still in hs) was telling everyone that she was determined to get pregnant by the end of the school year dont matter with who. i thought that it was kinda funny that she desperately wanted a baby after i got pregnant. i think she was jealous of me and my relationship and wanted my life.

i would say these two women have pretty bad reasons for having babies.

"I want someone to love me unconditionally and someone who I can love unconditionally, because there is nothing that can replace the eternal bond and love between a parent and child".

This from someone who hates her parents, thereby pissing all over her own logic. Her children were later removed from her home by the state for parental negligence.

"I'm afraid of losing him to another girl, and if we have a baby then he will have to stay with me because he's not the kind of man who would leave a pregnant girlfriend".

He later left her while pregnant for the other girl. Yeah, we totally didn't see that one coming either.

Having a baby to try to fix a broken relationship...
