Any fisherman have any idea what this fish is?

I caught this off the coast of Rhode Island a few years back. No one has been able to tell me what it is...

Hmmmm, it almost looks like a catfish, particularly the Eel tail catfish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Eel-tail_catfish... but also looks almost like a more evolved fish version of a Eurypterus (http://www.statesymbolsusa.org/IMAGES/New_York/Eur... It could be a mutated fish due to pollution, but here is a a site that might help: http://www.enature.com/fieldguides/intermediate.as...

That's a very interesting fish, and I hope you find out what it is!

I'm pretty sure it's a sea robin. I'll look in reference books and will amend if I come up with anything different.
