  • What was the most memorable fish you have caught?

Not necessarily the largest, that ONE that made a lasting memory for whatever reason.

For me it was a 35# blackfin tuna. Yes it kicked my butt, yes I wanted to hand the rod off, yes my arm ached when it was finally over and yes I had to take a several minutes break. The fish was 10# shy of the world record and 3# shy of the Fl. record at the time. Dang he was a big un!

    Please share your story.

  • Need help in selecting speakers?

I don't need anything fancy or even a top of the line set. It's more about size. I'm looking for a decent set that are no more than 10" high and 6" wide. Don't need wireless, just the basic connect to amp by wire. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

  • Just for fun question-most popular boat name?

I heard this on a fishing show I was listening to this morning, a guy who normally knows what he's talking about. Overall, and I guess that would be U.S., what is the most popular name to give a boat? Yes you can find the answer on the internet, but then you would be cursed by the fishing Gods for years to come.

  • Need info on Ricky rod 37s?

Years ago I got this at a moving sale. Rod is fiberglass, light green color. 3 metal guides and tip. 70" long. Only markings on it, looks like hand written:

    "Ricky"

    Signature of Quality

    37s

I've found info on Ricky rods but not this particular one. I'd appreciate any info you all may have on this to share. It's a damn good rod!

    Thanks

  • Can you recommend a reliable, accurate weather station?

I currently have an oregon scientific WMR80A that needs to be replaced. One that will give outdoor temp., humidity, barometric pressure, display time and wind speed & direction. Don't need rain gauge but I know it's included. The one I have now only reads wind speed every 30 secs. or so. If there's a brief 30mph gust, it won't register, only shows speed at moment it sends signal. Appreciate all suggestions.

  • Need help in selecting a tablet?

I believe I want the android operating system but am open to other suggestions. I consider myself semi-tech literate. My primary use would be e-mail, net, streaming movies/music, photo and some office functions (documents, spread sheets, presentation).

Any advice or experience from satisfied or disappointed tablet owners to help me make my decision would be appreciated.

    Thank You

  • Advice on savings bonds purchased in 1990's?

These bonds don't mature(stop earning interest) until 2020- 2023. They're earning 4%, not bad for now. I'm thinking best to hold as long as possible. I really don't want to cash as that would bump taxable income and could mess things up with other matters to be considered. So do I hold and take the 4%, or can I do better.

Just looking for thoughts from anyone with some knowledge . Thanks!
