Benefits of enalapril/vasotec in dogs?
Have you ever heard of this drug having beneficial effects in reducing confusion/senility in dogs? Thanks

Well Enalapril is a heart stabilizer and is usually prscribed to dogs with congestive heart failure (CHF)...you probably me ANIPRYL...and yes Anipryl is commonly prescribed to dogs with senile dementia symptoms. I have never had to use it on one of my own dogs but many that have come through the clinic have been put on it and most owners say that it does help...here is some info :-)

Never heard of it. I had to put down my 16 year old Chihuahua, Nick, in June after he suffered a debilitating stroke. But prior to that, he had some definite neurological issues like senility. My vet never prescribed anything for it.
