Is ~20 grams of protein from white Milk enough after a workout?
After I work out, typically 1 hour of fairly heavy lifting, near failure, I drink around 600ml of milk, which gets me around 20g of protein. I definitely am seeing results, and like the milk because it's cheaper than protein drinks, but am just wondering if I'm missing out hugely by drinking milk instead of an ACTUAL protein drink. Thank you

I'm pretty sure the formula to find out how much protein you need per day at least is 1 gram of protein per pound you weigh. I don't think you weigh 20 pounds (or more, but it's best to consume the protein within 1 hour of the workout) so try either drinking more milk, and eat a steak, peanut butter, spinach after working out, but a I wouldn't suggest just eating protein because the body uses calcium to process the protein and if you're not taking any calcium, the calcium your body needs will come from your bones.

Your body doesn't need much protein... only about 50 grams per day... If you consume more than this, your body tries to get rid of the access by leaching calcium from your bones.
