What to do with old CRT monitors?

Ok i got a few CRT monitors which I got sitting in my garage atm and I'm wondering what could I do with it. I don't want to sell them cause I want to do something with them that is practical and I don't to sell them cause I will be lucky to get a dollar out of them. Can anyone give me any suggestion and don't say smash them with a bat

    - donate them to non profit organizations who needs them

    - sell or give them to junk shops

    - recycle and reuse

    You could either set them up to use more then one at a time, save em for a day when your monitor breaks or give them away to someone who needs them.
