How does taking money from those who earn it and giving it to those who don't constitute Justice?

Democrates talk about fairness and justice. Then they propose social programs as a means of re-distribution of wealth and claim that these programs will bring about fairness and justice to society. I would like to know, how does taking money from those who earn it and giving it to those who don't constitute justice?

    It prevents anarchy caused by survival of the strongest and tribal wars caused by hungry people attacking the other groups of people to get food, shelter and clothing.

    Not that I expect you to understand, but it has to do with those who are able helping to provide for those who are not. Believe it or not it could be you someday. Many of those in need now were hard working people, lost their job, can't get another one (due to either the economy, their health or age.) I worked all my life, retired and got a pension with health insurance. I did not mind paying my taxes when I worked, I made good money and paid high taxes. I felt that was as it should be, and would have willingly paid more if we provided services like health care and education with the money. The only money I resented was the amount that went for wars which were designed to help the wealthy stay that way. My brother worked all his life, made decent money and lost his job due to illness. Now he is 53, with a history of illness, cannot get a job, cannot get any public assistance, or health care. This is why I and other Democrats call it justice.

    Hi,I just answered a prior question in which was rather lengthy,but I also agree,however there is a purpose and in length here is the answer.

    Socialism is not the way to go by far.

    It does appear that the USA is turning further towards Federal government controlled assets.

    The thing to notice about types of governments is that there has never been any true form of a government.

    There has never been a true form of socialism under communist rule.

    And to dig further one also has to realize what the definition of a democracy is.

    In it's simplest form it is merely a standard of living set by society for society.

    This is why we hear president after U.S president and other U.S leaders refer to a democracy,however the U.S is not a democracy they have been silently operating it as such hidden under the cloak of executive orders under Admiralty law,this is the law of the land since Abraham Lincoln seized power,well Lincoln started the process.

    What this did was allow the Admiralty laws which is mostly guided by corporations being given the authority to set the standards of those in the societies based upon the class in which they reside in,this class is based on upper,middle and lower class.

    Everyone within their respective classes are treated the same,however those outside of their class are treated different than the other two classes.

    The U.S.A was created to be a Constitutional Republic,which was and is as important then as today,it was to prevent a government from running amok.

    However it has been through the craftiness of lawyers and bankers that have seized control over the U.S.A and the policies are set by those who have the gold.

    This is the very reason why all of our famous founding fathers had little regard towards Lawyers and bankers,and they were all out spoken against democracies.

    Stating they soon waste and destroy themselves,greed is for the most part the biggest part of the destruction.

    The problem with democracies is that any form of government excepted by the people can be a democracy,and if those empowered reduces the ability of the population to effect real changes then they stay in power and the eventual demise of the middle class will take place.

    The clear trend in past decades was watching the rich get the middle class to get rid of the lower class jobs in order to show a profit.

    However the rich have become super rich and now they are intentionally trying to destroy the middle class,most effectively to merge the lower and middle into one large class a class of slaves.....

    Congressman Elliot of New York filed a court proceeding against several of the banks that contributed to the housing and other financial problems back in 2007 I believe it was,both Fargo and the Comptroller filed for an injunction with the court on the grounds they were private corporations therefor did not have to disclose their financial records(but they were publicly traded),the judges in both cases granted the Relief

    However neither of the courts took into consideration the Constitutional commands of the commerce clause,as authority of the Congress to obtain financial records of such companies,since they were/are licensed by privilege in which was/is granted by government.

    This was a complete failure on the part of the Judicial branch,but it is intentional,why? because the judges were deciding both accounts on Admiralty law and not Constitutional law.

    Best form of government is a Constitutional Republic,the difference is that each case is decided based on the merit of the evidences given,and the judge must decide based on the weight of the evidences according to the Constitutional commands.

    Under Admiralty the judge acts more as an arbitrator,which according to most States laws of arbitration they cannot be held accountable for any wrong doings,because an arbitrator doesn't have to disclose the process they used to decide a case,nor do they have to even consider fact or otherwise,that's why all the banks that give you credit cards have the arbitration agreement as a requirement to hold their card.

    Its sad but the system has been running amok for decades by a slow process,and it will be through the same slow process that it gets corrected.

    You're right...we never had social programs or a progressive tax before 2009. Dude, get real. If the GOP truly wanted to get rid of these systems they've had DECADES to do so...instead they spend money like water and create an economic mess for the Dems to clean up.

    1. Listed credit derivatives stood at USD 548 trillion;

    2. The Over-The-Counter (OTC) derivatives stood in notional or face value at USD 596 trillion and included:

    a. Interest Rate Derivatives at about USD 393+ trillion;

    b. Credit Default Swaps at about USD 58+ trillion;

    c. Foreign Exchange Derivatives at about USD 56+ trillion;

    d. Commodity Derivatives at about USD 9 trillion;

    e. Equity Linked Derivatives at about USD 8.5 trillion; and

    f. Unallocated Derivatives at about USD 71+ trillion.

    Let us think about the invisible USD 1.144 quadrillion equation with black swan variables -- ie, 1,144 trillion dollars in terms of outstanding derivatives, global Gross Domestic Product (GDP), real estate, world stock and bond markets coupled with unknown unknowns or "Black Swans". What would be the relative positioning of USD 1.144 quadrillion for outstanding derivatives, ie, what is their scale:

    1. The entire GDP of the US is about USD 14 trillion.

    2. The entire US money supply is also about USD 15 trillion.

    3. The GDP of the entire world is USD 50 trillion. USD 1,144 trillion is 22 times the GDP of the whole world.

    4. The real estate of the entire world is valued at about USD 75 trillion.

    5. The world stock and bond markets are valued at about USD 100 trillion.

    6. The big banks alone own about USD 140 trillion in derivatives.

    7. Bear Stearns had USD 13+ trillion in derivatives and went bankrupt in March. Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Lehman Brothers and AIG have all 'collapsed' because of complex securities and derivatives exposures in September.

    8. The population of the whole planet is about 6 billion people. So the derivatives market alone represents about USD 190,000 per person on the planet.

    Screw the poor. They are too damn lazy to get up from in front of Oprah to get out and make something of themselves. This is not my fault. They cannot have any of my money that I work my rear end off to earn.

    You do the same exact thing, dear, when you spend OUR money on corporate welfare and military expenditures and unnecessary wars. Look up which party has cost this nation more. We have a basic safety net for those who cannot work. ALL people who CAN work should be working.

    It has nothing to do with Justice. It has to do with morality and not wanting to live in a dictatorship of have's and have nots.
