Common sense answers to common questions?

OK, I've read these boards now for only a week or so, but there are prevailing themes that usually have the same answer, on in different variations. I'm going to give you the answer before you even have to ask the question. It save you time from typing, save us time from reading the same questions 5 times a day. All around win-win right?--here we go--->

Which branch is the best, You're just looking to start a fight, or validate what you already think. Either way, there is now right answer. Spare us the screen space and re-read the last years worth of post regarding same. BTW it's the girl scouts, they have thin mints, end of argument. 

If I join (insert branch) and get deployed to (insert base/theater of operations) can I bring my...wife, dog, kids, boyfriend, girldfriend, Mom?  Simple, no. Unless you're married, and it's a large base in an allied country. The armed forces is not in the moving you and your family across the country 5 times a year business. Common sense here folks. If you're a boot, and get orders to Okinawa, guess what? youre not going to be able to take anyone. Now If you've been in a little bit, and get orders for Germany, yeah, you might be able to bring the ole ball and chain. Now think about this, do you really want to bring your spouse to an area where there are 25,000 other single service members?

Is boot camp really the hardest thing about the Services? No, stop watching movies. If you've made it this far in life without your mamma wiping your nose, you can deal with boot camp. 

What job should I do in the service? wtf? seriously? it's not like we know you. It's not like you've submitted a questionaire, who are we supposed to know>? Next one that answers, Imma say Grunts, because if youre asking that, you have no sense. Perfect match.  (nothing against grunts, I like most of-em). 

Who really won the battle of the yellow river in 1075 ad and what did we learn from it? ....o.O Don't go to the Military, People in the military hate people like you. And I'm not answering something you can just as easily go to ask.com. 

What special forces is better X or Z...Thats like asking what bullet is better, the big one or the shiny one? they are both over qualified to kill you, does it matter in the long run? or do you just have YA points to burn, and need to see something you wrote and people to respond?

Do you agree that people should be charged with war crimes for enlisting?---> Take this garbage to the politics room, we dont care how you vote, and personnaly don't care what you think, the only thing we truely are interested in, is that you're not breeding.

Ehh yeah we get those questions every day. each one at least 100 times. 

I usually just answer them with a stupid answer. and go on to try to find an actual good question.

My favorites of course.....

Who would win between china and US?
What is better, seals or delta force?
What is better, F22 or euro fighter?
Who is most powerful military in the world?
What's the best job?
What branch should I join?

Common sense would tell you this is a public forum and there will  be those that have questions that they want answered.  This is one of the places they can go to get answers.  Some of the answers are wrong and some questions are designed to get a reaction.

As far as one of the points you bring up:  "If you're a boot, and get orders to Okinawa, guess what? youre not going to be able to take anyone. Now If you've been in a little bit, and get orders for Germany, yeah, you might be able to bring the ole ball and chain."  If you are in the Army just out of Basic and AIT and you get orders to Germany, you can bring the family.  Same with some other over sea assignments.

lol...I almost passed this question by. I agree, there are some truly ridiculous questions that get asked here. 

On the flip side, you see ridiculous answers given by folks who obviously have never served. Like the anti-military peaceniks who claim that all we do is kill innocent people and that women who join get raped. Or from military wives and girlfriends who think they know the miliary based on their husband's service. Granted there are some knowledgeable wives here esp the prior service ones whose answers are spot on. But being the wife of a Servicemember doesn't necessarily qualify a person to answer some of these questions.

Ha ha! I love your post. Kudos. You left out a couple of things though. Like when women ask where is the best place to meet single(insert branch here) military guys. Or when they want to know if they're hot and enlist will military men like them. Military guys are like most other young guys when it comes to women. If you have a vagina and are willing to let them see it,they will like you.

Sometimes, such as if someones asking if someone else likes them, they themselves know the answer, but also know that they are biasd and might think the person likes them when they dont. By asking the question on here they get second oppinions. thats what most questions are prbly asking on here. even when the answer is obvious the asker prbly just want a second opinion.

I was this close to hitting the report abuse button because you are obviously ranting, but I get frustrated, too.

I guess I'm used to idiots because I was flooded with stupid questions all day long while I was active duty (I'm a former JAG NCO).  

I really hate it when my polite answers are deleted.  I'm sure the asker doesn't like seeing the truth, they want to hear what the want to hear, they aren't interested in the truth.

So, who gets the best answer to this question, LOL.

You forgot my personal favorite, usually asked by young naive girls....

Why can't I be in SF, Rangers, SEALS, Infantry, or what ever tough-guy stuff....I know I'm a woman and I can fight just as hard as any man....

I'm a woman who was in the military, and I am glad to let the guys do the tough-guy work...geeze, maybe some chicks can....but not this one.
