What's an RCA splitter?
I just got satellite TV and in order to use my DVD player, I now have to unplug the red, white, and yellow wires from my satellite receiver and plug them into the DVD player, then move them back to watch TV. The install tech said I needed an RCA splitter to make them both work without having to do that, but when I search that on the 'net, I get a zillion different types. I have no idea what to buy. Anyone have links to exactly what I might need? I have a seven year old analog TV with NO plans to upgrade to LCD any time soon; the picture is great with satellite. Thank you.

You actually want a AV switch, like this: http://shop.vetcosurplus.com/catalog/product_info....
One in which you can choose between at least two sets of composite video and L/R stereo audio.

Rocksister - The second answerer is right, you need a AV switch. You can get them at Radio Shack. You'll need two extra sets of red/white/yellow RCA cables too.

You can use an RF Modulator or a Game Switch (which is just an RCA splitter). Either of those would serve your need. Here are a bunch to consider,

You can something like this from any online vendor, electronics store, TV store, big box store, where ever. Any brand will likely provide about the same quality. I just put up the Amazon ones because its easy to search and a reliable retailer. But certainly you can look for the device elsewhere.
