How can I remove hot wax (the kind used for hair removal) that was left on too long (other than pulling off)?

So I get the bright idea that I'm sick of shaving and want to try to wax my legs. I've got through several brands and finally came across one that I love. Still hurts when you're tearing out your hair, but no where near the burn/sting off the other products. My legs go very well so I attempt my bikini line. BIG mistake. Get about an inch of hair pulled and couldnt take it. I removed the paper (going with hair growth) instead of being smart and asking my BF to just rip it the rest of the way off. So now I'm stuck with about 1/16 of an inch of wax. Suggestions please??? I'm pretty sure the wax is latex based.

I'm not sure what the wax I used is based on, probably water, which baby oil works for. Not sure about latex based wax, but trying baby oil couldn't hurt.
