I need to find out the procedure for SA driving license ?
Apparently, I find out that my International Driving license is not valid here to drive. I am bit confused here, so many ppl say so many different thing and the web site rt.gov.sa has no much of info.
So here is the scenario : I got my countries driving license + international driving license.
Ppl told me the following which I summarized as follows :- need to translate my driving licenses to Arabic, Need a company letter certified by Chamber of Commerce, copies of iqama. Need to hand over 100 Riyals when handing over docs, then they give a date for some theory, then next day test, which we pay another 300 riyals...
Is this all correct ? if not what is the correct procedure ?

Get a letter from the company (but I don't think that's necessary).
Take your Iqama, blood group test report, 3 passport sized photos, your international license, and the license of the country you're from, and a copy of everything, and go to the driving school/traffic department center. I'm not sure what you'll need, but I hope that will cover it.
You'll also need to fill up a form over there, probably in Arabic.

well, i am saudi and i don't know if it's the same for internationals or not, i remember going there and while filling out the application i rememer bringing with me my ID (al-haweya), like 4 photos of me, i paid 75 riyals, they didn't give me my license until i brought proof of insurance.
one more thing, you have to know your blood type so you can write that on your application, if you don't know it, they will poke u with a needle and know right there on the spot. lol.

......the procedure you mentioned is correct but I doubt the price since they are already issuing license the same as an atm card (before it is just a solid paper and you have to laminate it yourself to preserve it) and the duration/expiration is 10 years already......

The only way to find out is to go to the traffic department yourself and ask.
