Different translations of the bible would suggest love and charity are synonmus. Examples found in.1st Corrinthians ch. 13 vs. 1-17 illustrate this many times. I would enjoy hearing from a scholar of the languages used in those past times to clarify my understanding. The story of the "World's Poorest Philanthropist", Gilbert "Harold" Ewing II (myself) is the reason for this querry. The " act of grace", or charity, reffered to in the news interview, has posited this question and I lack the sort of education to provide any insights of true value.

Yes but I find those a bit dated. Classic liberalism looks much more like modern conservatism than modern liberalism which is not nearly as broad minded, flexible, reasonable, tolerant or humanistic as it classic descendant or modern conservatives..
Yes I am proud not to be a close-minded, intolerant, big government liberal..

Liberals basically are progressive and want change.
Conservatives think ALL the changes of the last 50-100 years are BAD, and want them set back exactly the way they were (No Fed, no welfare, no integration, no gay rights, no women's rights, no social security, no public education, no medicare...you get the picture.)

Yup, we conserve, and they don't! Just look at Obama.
And I'm proud to be a conservative! An old outdated definition will not change me, sorry, but nice try!

Yup. It's amazing how the political meanings of those words has diverged so widely from the dictionary definition.
