I'm thinking about changing car insurance. Does Geico provide good customer service?

Their quote to me was amazingly cheap and that makes me a little nervous. You get what you pay for is what I have always heard. Anyone had their insurance through Geico? Good or bad experiences, please.

Check out what actual insurance customers said about them, and many other companies:

This is the same J D Power that rates autos, so it's presumably unbiased.

I've known people who has had Geico, and according to them, the price was actually more expensive. Almost everybody I know is using Allstate Insurance. I am not too sure about Geico myself, because I have used Allstate from the start.

I'm currently 19 years old, and first got my car at age 17. And since then, my insurance has gone down by half. I live in NYC and drive a sports coupe.

I found Geico to be higher then many of the other companies I tried. I'm with Progressive now and the rate with Geico was almost double! I was with esurance, and their customer service was fine-however, I never had an accident or claim.

Geico has a highly rated customer service, if they gave you the best rate then try them out. Nothing says you can't switch if you are unhappy.

Hell no! Stay away from Geico!!!!!! They give you the runaround, won't help you with extra costs when they have clearly done something wrong. The make it difficult to find the information you need by saying they are not allowed to give that information out. I have been through hell dealing with an accident I was in. As soon as I feel comfortable in knowing my car is in good shape, I will be leaving GEICO. I am not the only one in my family who has had problems with them. I have also found horror story reviews on the internet that reflect the same experience as mine, from many people! So, don't do it!!!!!!!

First he'll take over GEICO - then the G in GEICO will stand for GOVERNMENT just like the G in GM does. at that point - he'll put out of business all his competitors - by making rules and laws that just apply to them. (You must cover an accident you had yesterday... even though you just signed up today). You'll then have the OPTION of using GEICO... by paying for it... with your taxes. (and the pattern continues...)

Geico is a good company rather one of the leading insurance companies. If you are thinking of changing your company then I would suggest you to go for online quotes. By online quote you can get quote from different companies and check the coverages and price before making your decision. Donot forget to ask for the different discounts you may be eligible. To know more online quotes you can read this article..

No stay away. They filed a claim on me when they had the police report already that the person responsible for the accident didn't have insurance. When the other person filed on his uninsured motorist insurance somehow Geigo pulled my information up and filed the claim on me. It took several days of calling and calling the police to my house to get the accident report off of my claim. They didn't even want to investigate and wanted to file an accident on my record.

Geico was strangely cheaper for me, however i got into a minor accident the other day and they raised my premium by about 500 dollars. Now it is no longer cheaper for me.
