How can i get my dog more active?
how can i get my dog more active???
i have two dogs. they are about 8 months old. (half brothers)
we take them on walks around our coldisac about minimum i guess of 2wice a day.
sometimes we take them in our yard to play fetch and they love to run around.
but lately one of my dogs doesn't do much of that anymore like he
used to be more active but now when he sees me through
a stick he just doesn't really care.
we still takes him on walks and he sometimes likes to run instead of walk but when we play like fetch with a stick or ball, he just is kinda ehh.
my other dog though, l♥ves to run around. he chases after just about anything you through.
and i really want my other dog to get more active cause
he is a little over weight and exercise is what he needs.
sorry i know i give a lotta detail and whatever but is there anyway you can think of to help me get him more playful like he was before. he needs to be healthy!
thanks:)

What I did with my puppy was put her on a dog treadmill - not too long, because you don't want the puppy to become too fatigued. I also would try maybe purchasing a new toy (squeaky maybe) to excite the dog and have him want to play with it. Try taking him out alone without the other dogs, maybe the one-on-one interaction will help. If these do not work, I would say you should take the dog to the vet. If the dog was active prior to this, something may be wrong, or running around might be causing some kind of pain. Make sure your dog is fully hydrated before activities, and allow adequate rest time between any play time. Hopefully it is nothing serious - but if the problem continues you definitely will probably want to get him checked out by a professional. Goodluck!

He may have just grown out of the "active puppy" stage...
or maybe there's something wrong with him, like a sickness or something?
This happened with my kitten and it turned out he had a really rare stomach cancer that couldn't be cured...

You may want to get your dog checked out. Behavior changes are sometimes alarms for something serious.
