can i collide with another human and produce a chemical reaction?
I am told that if the collision is at a molecular level it will produce more energy than if the whole body were to collide. Isnt that counter intuitive?
I like that Vlad. For a lay person like me that is spelled out crystal clear!

If you collide with a human of same sex, it would produce a physical reaction called repulsion, as a result of which you both will throw away each other in opposite directions.
When you collide with another human of opposite sex of high energy, you both would produce a chemcial reaction called seduction as a result of which you would be joined together by a strong bond of high valancy.

Imagine just two molecules. If they were to hit each other, they'd produce a certain amount of energy, lets call that amount X.
Now imagine billions of molecules in the human body. Number one, you're probably not going to start a chemical reaction just by hitting another person (unless they're covered in some sort of chemical). Second, while two people collide, there isn't just one molecular collision, there's billions. So even after any random two molecules collide, they'll hit something else and lose energy.
Imagine just two billiard balls hitting each other. And how much they deflect. Now imagine I have two bags of billiard balls and they hit each other. All the other balls in the sack will absorb the energy from all the collisions and the energy will be dissapated throughout the sack. Even though there are more balls they won't move as much as the two individual balls.

Of course you will be subjected to a chemical reaction but internally and not externally.
Vlad has already replied for external connection.
Consider this theory for internal reason(Biological reason)
When you collide with any thing or any person, the Sympathetic division of your Peripheral nervous system activates and takes the command of your responses.
As soon as you collide, there is a change in potential difference of the nervous system in your body. This voltage change activates your adrenalin hormone and so is secreted by Adrenalin gland as a result.
Secretion of hormones in a body actually represents A CHEMICAL REACTION in that body.
