Which song should I use for a wedding slideshow?
The Maid of Honour and I are making a slideshow for my brother's wedding in a few months. I'm looking for some song suggestions because the slideshow isn't entirely about just the two of them. The bride and groom each have a section of just themselves, growing up etc. Then there's family/pets, then friends, then the two of them together. It's basically the story of the two of them growing up individually, meeting, and getting to where they are today.
That said, we're looking for a few songs to cover everything. They don't have to be cheesy and romantic, they can be fun. They can be upbeat too, not necessarily the typical slow songs.
Good song or not, we're not using "I Hope You Dance." It's just too common in this sort of thing. Genre-wise, preferably country or rock but anything goes.

For the bride growing up - Thank Heaven for Little Girls, Chantilly Lace by the Big Bopper, or Girl by the Beatles
For the groom growing up - Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood, Let's Hear It for the Boy by Deniece Williams
Generally great songs for the rest: In my Life by the Beatles, Thank You by Led Zepplin, Crazy Love by Van Morrison, Why do fools fall in love by Frankie Lymon, My Dearest Darling by Etta James, All the Way by Frank Sinatra, Hard to Concetrate by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, True Love Travels on a Gravel Road by Elvis Presley, The Man I Love by Etta James, You Make my Dreams by Hall and Oats, Do Wah Ditty Ditty Dum Ditty Doo (i think it's by Manfed Man, not sure, but a fun song). I could go on for days, but these are a few that are not so main stream. Hope they helped.

Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flats
My Wish by Rascal Flats
Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle
Daughters by John Mayer
100 Years Five For Fighting
Time of My Life by David Cook
You & Me by Lifehouse
So Small by Carrie Underwood
I would contact your local DJ or a radio station that plays "love songs" and tell them about the couple...they will be able to help personalize this special slide show for you!!!
Good luck.
