Do you think NBC, MSNBC, CBS and ABC are still considered mainstream news?
I heard someone talking about that today saying they are not considered mainstream anymore and it made sense to me. I remember when they claimed they were not biased and many people agreed with them, but now almost everyone considers them leftwing. They also admit that 80% of their reporters are liberals.
The Pew survey in 2008 showed that only 7% of the media considered themselves conservative. They asked this of reporters, producers, editors, and news executives. This is a 5 to 1 ratio of what is found in the general population, or viewers/readers.

No, anymore if you hear anything from them, you have to check it out for yourself, because you can't trust them. I'm very disappointed in the "mainstream media". I don't know whats mainstream about them anymore.

In the same way that certain groups of Christian religions are called mainstream, yes (and, relatively speaking, their ratings are similar to "mainstream" media). Neither really are but it is a concept liberals want to push (kind of like the "big lie" idea the Nazis so liked).
Fox News has more viewers then all of those COMBINED! Seriously, doesn't that make them the mainstream (no, I don't watch Fox News)?

There's nothing wrong with having liberal reporters, as long as they're honest, fair and present the news instead of editorializing it. And newspeople who consider themselves to be conservatives should be held to the same standards. Their job is to report thoroughly researched stories, present them in a balanced manner, and let their viewers use their God given intelligence to form their own opinions.

Not after they called the the participants at the rally racist, just for disagreeing with obama, those people at the rallies are everyone`s friends and neighbors, all you can do is boycott all the networks shows. All of them, by watching their any of their shows you are just enabling them to perpetuate the same negative propaganda, so watch anyone of the other 200 some odd channels and Truly liberate yourself.

Yes. Because if they ALL went off the Air- Tomorrow, -They'd replaced by NEW News Outlets- that would have exactly the SAME "slant" on the news- than they have Now... It's NOT the News Stations that are "Liberal" -it's the "News" ItSELF -that broadens the Mind, & makes People more Liberal... The More we KNOW, the Smarter We become, the MORE we Understand- and the MORE "Liberal" we grow !!! And that's NOT the News Outlets fault !! :)
