Deism being proclaimed dead?

I read an article saying that Deism was dying. You can't possibly say that. Tell me there are some Deists on here!

(I'm floating between Deist and Atheist right now :P )

I'm sort of where you are, just beginning to consider Deism. It's not really such a huge leap from atheism, and considering how little we humans really know, not a completely unreasonable supposition. I could do Deism, I think.

And in my opinion, even if you are the only person on Earth to hold a particular belief, if you think you're right, then hold to it. So don't feel lonely; feel bold.

Deism is the only logical explanation I can find for the way an all knowing, all powerful personified God would act.

How else can you reconcile the way our world works compared to the ideals attributed to God?
