What is the best cat litter?

After trying many cat litters, I have found that Wood Pellets are the best. When urninated on they go to sawdust.

I find it hand because when my feline does a poop it can be easily scooped and then flushed down the toilet. I prefer to do this as soon as to eliminate smells. Also you don't need to use a lot of it and it doesn't go all over the floor like cat grit.

Oh and for blocking smells i recommend a hooded cat litter tray with filters on the side.

If you have a Petco nearby, the Petco brand plastic bin that you refill from the open bin in the store is a good litter. I noticed a much lower level of dust and odor when we switched to it. And the cat no longer has runny eyes.

it all depends on what your cat will like. I used to use Tidy Cats Small Spaces since I live in an apartment, but since my kitten is allergic to dust i had to switch to a non-clay litter. She's now using World's Best which is made from corn, and it's pretty good. The Tidy Cats is cheap but you go through it quickly so it adds up. World's Best is more expensive but it lasts twice as, if not three times as long as clay litters. Both of them clump and hide smells well, but Tidy Cats isn't flushable, World's Best is. I personally would like flushable litter since I don't really have a designated trash can nearby. But, like I said it depends on your cat. They might like clay versus non-clay, and you can even get pine or newspaper litter. You can probably buy little bags of litter to test run them and see what they like.

We buy 40 pounds of LitterClean in a reclosable plastic bucket at Sam's Clubs for under $12.

It clumps well and does the job for us.

We use the plastic bucket to hold used litter and, when it is full, we set it out with the trash.
