Why did right-wingers cheer when the US failed to get the Olympics?

They want America to fail.

They see America's continued problems, as something they can capitlize on to get themselves back in power... so they can implement even more bad policy's that will continue to erode the middle class, and transfer even more money from working people, to the already very wealthy in this country.

I'm thinking it's because Obama would have poured billions upon billions of dollars into a corrupt city with no way of knowing where the money was being spent. Come on, do we really want to spend more money we don't have to get the crime capital of America ready for the olympics?

Not sure they cheered the US's failure to get the Olympics. Although, Chicago doesn't deserve them. They cheered what the pundits had been saying before the Obama's flew the coop in D.C. and went to Europe, "There are more important things to do with your time (Mr. President) than lobby the IOC to award a venue in this country". Now with hindsight, the Liberals, MSM, and Democrats are agreeing. Isn't it wonderful to see a sense of rational thought returning to the USA?

I haven't seen anyone cheering. When did this happen? Where? I personally think we could have had a better chance getting them if they were going to be held somewhere else. When is the last time any good news came out of Chicago? Nothing but death and corruption.

We were happy to see that our tax dollars weren't being used to thank Obama's cronies for their support during the campaign
