How reliable is a Jeep Liberty after 100,000 miles?
I have been putting a lot of research into this car, and I intend to make it my first car. I need to know what kinds of problems any of you have run into after 100,000 miles. This car is supposed to last me through the rest of high school and through college. I won't be too picky on this because I know no car is going to be perfect, but it needs to be fairly reliable. Any problem any of you guys have had, or better yet not had, would be appreciated! Just tell me if you've been satisfied with this vehicle please. Thank you in advance for any answers!

Well it really depends on how it was treated the first 100k miles. If it was well maintained and not abused, there should be alot of miles left in it. I buy these when I can (car dealer) and have had pretty good luck with them so far. If there are ANY signs of it ever running hot, such as residue of any kind around radiator cap, hoses etc. any smoke at all, avoid this vehicle. This probably has a 3.7 V6 in it. Make sure you start this when engine is cold and check for any white smoke. If there are head gasket problems this engine will sometimes only smoke when cold and it expands when warm and smoke stops and you are none the wiser till its too late. Ive had this happen. But if all checks out its a great little SUV, Good Luck.
