How many calories are in a standard restaurant breakfast? (toast, hashbrowns, bacon, eggs)?

I rarely eat at restaurants or take out, but my favorite meal is breakfast. I let myself have it once a month... How many calories do you think are in the average restaurant breakfast, considering its usually something like

2 slices of toast, at least a tablespoon of butter, 2 eggs that are most likely prepared in grease, about 2 cups of deep fried hashbrowns and 3 slices of bacon or sausages.

I try not to finish the hashbrowns at least since theres sooo many and theyre so greasy, but they're also so delicious and I eat that as a major meal of the day (brunch) and only have an afternoon snack (fruit) and small balanced dinner. It's my treat.

Any guesses?

(Fun fact: My school determined a single grilled cheese they serve in the main cafeteria has over 1200 calories, and that doesn't include the large heap of fries it comes with or the drink... EWWW)

Update:

No **** it's a lot. Have a guess?

Update 2:

800 would even seem low to me... bread is about 100 cals a slice, butter is 100 a tablespoon. Thats 300 JUST for toast...

Update 3:

I love veggies but I don't think I could do it! I'd never get enough protein :S and I'm not nearly disciplined enough

I would wager anything between 1000 and 1500 calories. Most of that would easily be the hash browns. (I feel your pain; I love hash browns too, although they can be so bad for you.)

The exact number largely depends on the cooking and preparation methods of the restaurant. (Some are a lot better than others.) You should be able to ask at the restaurant for the nutrition facts of their meals though. If not, take that to mean that the calorie count of the food is most likely high.

Seriously, I would conservatively estimate that it's at least 800 calories. I'll check it out and get back to you...

EDIT: Okay, the Denny's Grand Slam has 820 calories and 69 grams of fat. A Grand Slam has 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 strips of bacon and 2 sausage links. If you go to their website, you can figure out the calories of what you eat, because they have everything on their menu listed ala carte.

Honestly if you're a student and are under 18 you shouldn't be counting calories! You shouldn't be monitoring like that, im sure you have better things to do than to count calories. Counting calories is a waste of time go by the food pyramid and heck you'll be fine!!!!!!!!! i don't mean to sound harsh or anything but seriously?? a student counting calories, is unreasonable. Once you reach the age wear you have to worry about diabetes, high blood pressure, and other things like that then OK FINE but now FORGET IT!!!!!!! Exercise and do the food pyramid, and you'll be fine!!!!!

When making cookies, bake half the batch and scoop others into ice-cube trays. When your own sweet tooth kicks in, pop out one and bake it to satisfy your craving without breaking this calorie bank.

Hmmm... I would estimate the range to be anywhere from 800 to 1200 calories lol

Add protein powder to fairly sweet recipes (like these Rice Krispies treats) to boost the nutrition.
