Contradicting Himself is impossible with God because He can not deny Himself.

(2 Timothy 2:13) If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

God — the real God — is a God of principles that teaches us, also, to stand by the good principles He teaches the faithful.

(Romans 14:22) Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.

He is not a God that tells us something is colored red, and after us beholding that it is red tells us that it is blue; unlike ‘the god’ of the Iglesia ni Manalo (INC) that constantly changes his teachings. After teaching their members for almost a century that Felix Manalo is “undoubtedly the seed of Abraham”, when Brother Soriano emerged as a critic of that erroneous teaching, they suddenly changed it to be the Lord Jesus Christ.

After making people believe (even students of geography) that the Philippines is the Far East, they now assert a blatant lie that they have never taught it.

God’s word and wisdom written in the Bible are straightforward declaration of the absolute truth. There is no contradiction whatsoever. God guarantees it; but it will appear to be clear and concise only to an understanding mind of someone favored by the grace of the Holy Spirit.

(Proverbs 8:8-9) All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

(2 Peter 1:20-21) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

There are absolute truths in the Bible that work out to be the guiding principle in understanding the written word of God. They are our guide to discern the absolute truth about everything that exists, and within the capacity of our awareness. Of course, our awareness is limited compared to God’s. The absolute truth is: God is a God of truth!

(Psalms 31:5) Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

Being the God of truth, He is faithful. In Greek, ‘pistos’ meaning trustworthy.

    pistos

    pis-tos’

From G3982; objectively trustworthy; subjectively trustful: – believe (-ing, -r), faithful (-ly), sure, true.

It follows that He can not lie.

(Titus 1:2) In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began…

Emphatically, it is impossible for Him to lie!

(Hebrews 6:18) That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us…

What about the verses that say:

(Luke 1:37) For with God nothing shall be impossible.

(Matthew 19:26) But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Those who are trying to destroy the credibility of the written word of God employ these verses to put doubt to the truth that God’s words are without contradictions; but a quick look at the context will immediately erase any clout of doubt in the mind of someone with understanding.

The phrases “For with God nothing shall be impossible” and “…with God all things are possible” if taken within the context of the conversation, reveals that the Lord Jesus Christ and the angel Gabriel are speaking of things that, for man, is impossible to be done. What they are saying is what is not attainable by man can be done by God. Whereas, on the other side, those things that are impossible with God are things which He will not (and can not) do to Himself or on His person…He can not lie; it is impossible for him to lie; He can not change Himself ; He can not deny Himself, etc.

    See the point?

I want to re-cite the verse Proverbs 8:8-9:

All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

God’s words are all plain and right to somebody who understands. It is plain and simple that we must “honor our father and mother” (Ephesians 6:2).

Do you agree that it is not very hard to understand?

It is also plain, simple, and can very well be understood to read “Husbands, love your wives…” (Ephesians 5:25)

Nowhere in the scriptures can you find something that will contradict these plain and simple truths.

A seeming contradiction for others, even reiterates this simple commandment:

(Matthew 10:37) He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

It means that we must love a mother, a father, a son, a daughter, and wife, but not more than our love for God.

    (Matt

    Truth does not contradict truth.

Man does a pretty good job at taking truth and twisting it, and so their misunderstandings about God will contradict truth.

Whenever you find something in Scripture that does not seem to line up, I suggest prayer for understanding.

Here is something I heard a couple of days ago: The teacher asked "What are you supposed to do with this?"

    Proverbs 26:4-5

Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Lest you also be like him.

Answer a fool according to his folly, Lest he be wise in his own eyes.

Ask for guidance, and then answer or don't answer as it seems right. Kind of the way you have to pick and choose what to answer at R&S.

Read the first 5 chapters of genesis and what it says about swearing in the bible read the end of daniel the angel swears.

Jesus said not to swear by heaven or earth or anything!

There are many hundreds more examples just like that.

Only God is allowed to contradict himself if you don't get that by now your truly lost.

Source(s): Know you not that even you have the power to judge the angels? God made man in his own image - female and male he made thee. Yet there is neither female nor male in the lord. Says not to kill but God led people into war (armies). So kill with a cause is what God is really saying but he would rather you not kill at all; vengeance is mine sayeth the lord I shall repay. God repaying not you. Rapists should be hung, drug sellers should be hung, murderers should be hung if without a doubt they are known to have done the crime. Love thy neighbor as thyself is something God will never contradict because he told you to do it we are the only one's contradicting anything in that regard because we don't follow it.

Men will contradict themselves when trying to speak for or about God.

I'm not aware of any written record directly from God.

    To contradict is to lie.

Jehovah added his sworn oath to this promise so that “through two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to the refuge may have strong encouragement to lay hold on the hope set before us.” (Heb. 6:18)

    Ergo- he cannot lie.

He hasn't said anything yet and so far he's said nothing to contradict that.

No, imaginary beings don't do anything - the people that imagine them, imagine them as contradictory or not.
