how can i store boiled rice?
I've just made too much rice as usual. Rather than chuck it in the bin what is the best way to store the rice and how can i reuse it?

you must cool it quickly then freeze it do not leave it lying around.when you want to use it you must heat it very well do not just warm it heat it to boiling then let it cool to temp.for eating rice is the most common thing to give people food poisoning

It will keep in the fridge for a few days. The best way to reuse it, in my opinion, is to make fried rice.
Let the rice sit out until it reaches room temperature, if you have time.
Heat a large heavy pan or wok over high heat.
When it's hot, add 1/4 cup of lard, peanut or vegetable oil.
As soon as the lard melts, add spices: minced garlic, ginger, szechuan peppercorns, chili pepper flakes, etc.
After just a few seconds, add scallion whites, minced onions, etc. and cook until transparent.
Add meat and vegetables - finely minced chicken, pork, tofu, mushrooms, carrots, peas, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, etc.
Stir to coat everything with the flavorful oils.
Push all the stuff to the side of the pan and place the rice on top of it. Add more lard if you need it, to prevent sticking. To the center of the pan, add 2 or 3 beaten eggs. Wait for them to set, then scramble them up and then toss in the rice until it too is coated with the yummy oil.
Turn off the heat and season with salt, soy sauce or fish sauce. Garnish with scallion greens.
Fried rice can be simple - just a few spices and onions - or you can throw in the kitchen sink as you see above. It's a great dish to make with whatever's lying around the kitchen.

If you just throw it in the fridge in a container, you can bring it back fairly easily by microwaving it after mixing in about a teaspoon of water for every cup of cooked rice. Pour off any extra after a few minutes in the microwave.

I always keep my left over rice, put it in an air tight container, let it cool then put it in the fridge, it will keep for a couple of days.
OR put it in the freezer to keep longer.
Good on you, you shouldn't throw left over food away.

I often make too much. It freezes fine but do not keep it in the fridge for any length of time.

I wouldn't dream of storing it - however, I understand if you cool it fast, refridgerate and bring back to boiiling point, its ok - but I would never do it. Rice can cause nasty tummy problems if not reheated correctly.
