What is the best way to deal with lies linked to public officials?

Everyone lies, white lies are almost a part of office, just how big is a white lie is debatable.

The person can be charged, as a public official, with whom trust is needed as a base to efficiency and effectiveness. If they lie, what are they covering up and why.

Usually a news station loves to get the scoop on one in office, who did not tell the truth, as their credibility can be attacked, when that is gone, they are history, plus it makes news, like the song says, "We love dirty laundry."

The best way to deal with all of them is to "never" vote incumbent, no matter party affiliation.
