Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans. The Broncos have made a massive turn around, that I don't think any critic or writer expected. Meanwhile the nearly undefeated Titans of last season can't win a game now. Those are pretty big surprises.

Cowboys - I'm not surprised at all. Their head coach is a complete idiot and their offensive coordinator over complicates things WAY too much. If they would just line up and play football like it is supposed to be played they would be fine. All the spread formations and motion are things you do to compensate for lack of talent, not in spite of the talent you have. Bucs - Not so surprising. They only beat the Browns and Panthers. A lot of people will do that before the end of the season. Chiefs - Yes, it was surprising the took down the Chargers, but that was in the pouring rain. The second win was over the Browns. Not hardly a surprise. Don't bet the farm on them. Vikings - Favre impressive? What scale are you measuring that on? At the VERY best he is average this year. Steelers have won 2 games that no one has expected them too, so that does say something. They have their defense to thank for it by stepping up to the challenges. Texans - They have looked great. They have demonstrated they can hang in there and produce offensively with any team in the league. I expect them to blow out the Cowboys this weekend. The most surprisingly in my opinion is the Lions believe it or not. They would have beaten the Bears except for one controversial call, and came within 3 points of beating the Eagles. No, they won't make the playoffs, but they are manning up and playing hard core against very good teams.

Best surprise: Bengals... with Denver a very close second... I expected the Broncos to be decent (but never 5-0), but I did not expect the Bengals to be this impressive...

Worst surprise: Tennessee... as good as they were last year, no one expected an 0-5 start...

Bengals. I'm shocked about there record. I had a feeling Denver and the Saints were going to be good, so I'm not surprised about them. The Titans, I knew would suck, as did I think about the panthers.

I'm not that surprised about the Bengals. When all of their key players are healthy, they have always been a pretty good team since 2005. It's when they started losing key linebackers and Carson Palmer...that's when they looked really bad. So their success is not as surprising. However, I wasn't expecting them to beat Pittsburgh and outplay Baltimore the way they did.

The most surprising to me is the Chargers. They have not been impressive so far. Tomlinson has not been strong and he is in danger of losing his starting position. Denver going 5-0 so far is also unexpected. I'm still not totally sure if they are really THAT good. They are either surprisingly talented or they have gotten lucky in a few games.

Tennessee. I expected the Bengals to be good. I mean not that long ago Palmer was one of the better QB's in the league, and Ocho Cinco is good when he wants to be. I really didn't see the Titans being bad..

on the winning side the broncos and bengals because not many people expected them to win this many games and both be 1st in their division,on the losing end the titans because they were supposed to be super bowl contenders this season and they fell flat on their face and have no shot now
