Does scotchguard keep sharpie in cotton shirts?
I got a shirt signed at a Relient K concert and I would be extremely disappointed if it washed out... I want to know if scotchguard is good to keep the signatures visible or if I should do something else

go to a crafting store, where they sell tole paint. There is a product that you mix with the tole paint so that it doesn't wash out of clothing.
I put this stuff into a sink of water and soak the shirts. It helps keep the marker from washing out. However, like any clothing, the more you wash it, the more it fades.

another answer could be to apply an excellent brush and paint over the sharpie signatures with acrylic paint thinned with fabric paint media. warmth set the paint with a rag soaked in vinegar wrung out and then iron the rag with an iron set on medium. this could set the paint and allow you to bathe the shirt with none issues. The paint could be got here upon at any craft save.
