It will work fine if you dye it black at home, but you will have a really hard time re-coloring the hair that was bleached blond and then dyed black, even if you go to a salon.

yes. But once you die it black you will have to bleach the hell out of it to get it back to blonde. I just went back to my natural (blonde) after having really dark hair. It was going to cost waaaaaay to much to have it done. So I did it my self and fried my hair. I got the color I wanted but had straw like hair for a while. I did lots of conditioning so it's ok now, but I also had to cut a lot of it off. It was midway down my back and now it;s just under chin length. So....just be careful.
But dying it won't damage your hair. It's the bleaching that kills it

of course!
haha, i dye my hair with box dye all year long, then with birthday money get it at a salon, haha.
but anyways, you can def. do that, what's hard is after you go to darker hair, it's pretty hard to get it blonde again without bleaching it, which isn't good for your hair, well neither is dying it, but bleaching is worse.
but it'll work out just fine, =)
good luck.
can you answer mine?
