Is it possible to have a RC wedding service in the UK?

Just curious, because I remember hearing that the whole "separation of church and state" is done better there, and you MUST go to the registry office if you want civil benefits from a marriage. Does that mean that the only Roman Catholic nuptial service you can get is a convalidation of a marriage, or do they recognise that this is just a two-step process to get married, as long as you do all of it at the same time?

Or do they not worry at all over there about if you're already married, and just offer a marriage service for anyone who isn't already married in the church?

You heard wrong! We have to be married by a recognised Officiant. That includes the representatives of all the major faiths including of course RC - or any other officiant ie, a Registrar. The only time spritual people have to have a civil ceremony as well as the religious ceremony is if their officiant is not recognised by the state - for instance a pagan High Priestess wouldn't be, nor would those who conducted an LDS temple Marriage, or those ordained by cults or obscure sects.
