Fan under new refrigerator blows smelly air.?
I just bought a new refrigerator, and when the fan blows air, it smells like urine. It's not the water from the drip pan also. I opened the back of the fridge and the smell seems to be coming from the compressor. No mold, leaks or dead animals back there.
Anybody experience this issue? The fridge works fine, just it smells really bad. Driving me crazy...

Yea , you might have a mouse . You need a flashlight and 5\16 and 1\4 " nut driver to remove pan-ell and look under there for a mouse.%\16 is yellow amd 1\4 " is red handled . And a pair of pliers to grab mouse.

If this is very new and you still have the receipt and under warranty I would call up the store and ask for a replacement. They should provide it. I wouldn't totally fill up the fridge until the replacement one is in and up to par.

You have an amonia leak in your cooling tubes running to the compressor. It is not repairable. Start saving for a new refridge.
