Please point out what in this / my answer, is in violation of its Guidelines or Terms of Service:?

"You have posted content to Yahoo! Answers in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. As a result, your content has been deleted. . .

"Question:

Why do some Christians believe Jesus had brothers/sisters?

"Question Details: In those days people were called "brother" if they were a friend/cousin.

Deleted Answer:

"Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us?" (Matthew 1:25; 13:55, 56; Mark 6:3)

"That is evident from the question inhabitants of Nazareth later asked about Jesus: We can conclude from this that after Jesus' birth, Joseph and Mary had other children, Jesus' half brothers and sisters. Also that Jesus' immediate family consisted of his parents, four brothers, and at least two sisters.

"Jesus' Family—Who Were They?"

What I would like to know is,

How does my answer violate Yahoo! Answer's Guidelines?

If someone can point out to me what is wrong with it according to them, I would appreciate them including which part (No. & Title) it violates, because I don't see it & would like to avoid doing whatever it is in the future, if I can learn what it is that I need to avoid . . .

All I see is the answer to the question, without any violations of any kind. . .

Thank You for serious & reasonable replies.

(I left it edited a bit different than what they have returned to me, --apparently the edit didn't 'stick''--. . .

I don't recall my exact --missing-- edit, but [the following words in brackets] were likely them:

"[It] is evident from the question inhabitants of Nazareth later asked about Jesus, [& its response], that after Jesus' birth, Joseph and Mary had other children, Jesus' half brothers and sisters. Also that Jesus' immediate family consisted of his parents, four brothers, and at least two sisters.")

Update:

Just now I notice that when I do a search for the Question itself, I get: "Sorry, no results . . . "

OK, an appeal it is!

    Appeal this.

This is an intelligent and well-researched answer.

I can only conclude that someone did nto want it to be seen and had it removed for bogus reasons.

If you get a couple of those that won't face the truth, find that your answer is based with the Bible they become out of sight out of mind christian, if they can get others to report it as abuse they can get it deleted.

It's ostrich time, stick there head in the sand & try to make all those that see it feel the same.

These ones are not looking for truth, they are comfortable in their ignorance, change is not an option, their attitude is as those were in Noah's day, they took no note until the flood swept them away.

I would ask the question again, and again, because Jesus had physical brothers & sisters & there is no such thing as a virgin Mary after Jesus was born.

Appeal, yes do that. But don't think you'll get any explanation. The moderators have people they like and ones they don't. I got a violation for saying I was reporting a question that was libelous. Every violation I've had has been over nothing. You can curse, insult, slander, whatever and if the mods like you, you get away with it. Plus, some people on here are report monkeys. I think they are well liked too.

Appeal it (although sometimes they don't even reverse it and won't be able to give you a clear cut reason). But you may have a troll following you and/or a few others who are trying to irritate you who reported you.

All it takes are 2 or 3 reports and answers can be removed.

    But seriously, appeal it!

  • That you had the audacity to include a link to a Watchtower article probably offended someone.

I have had questions deleted with such a link.

If you appeal and the question is not returned, don't worry about it.

We are not on a level playing field here. If we participate here, we have to accept that fact.

I don't see anything wrong , however I do believe that someone has a different view on your question and just reported you , for a difference of opinion .Not everyone sees eye to eye on Religion and Politics.

If it was deleted as the first part, where its just quotes, that could been seen as not really answering the question asked. but if the deleted answer included the last paragraph shown here, then I dn't see why.

Appeal it and explain your answer but remember to not rant or rave. it doesn't help at all.

    Good luck!

I know what you're going through and I don't like it either! You may just have to look at this as an 'internet door' getting slammed in your face.

I think you had better send an appeal. Nothing is wrong here! I am absolutely sure.
