HP Pavillion dv6000 won't turn on/won't charge?

I have an HP Pavillion dv6000 that I purchased in May of 2007. It's been riddled with problems, but nothing that I couldn't fix.

Recently, though, it seems to have bit the dust.

My laptop won't turn on or charge. I plug it in, and the blue LED on the side doesn't light up. The power jack and the pin all seem fine.

I'm about ready to drop kick this damn thing through the window. To anyone considering buying an HP product, I advise against it. Customer service is rude, and they won't even talk to you if you don't have a warranty. I know this because I've had to call them over twenty times for problems that I did not cause. This computer was used for writing and watching DvDs. Not much else. How it managed to accumulate so many problems is beyond me.

Thank you for your help.

There are two possibilities, Dead Power port or battery or a dead Motherboard. I would suggest bringing it to a local PC repair store and they will look at it and tell you. And they won't charge you for it they will only charge you if you say to repair it.
