Can fudge be frozen and still have good texture?
I want to get a jump start on holiday cooking. Can I make and freeze fudge for my cookie trays now?

If you want the best results (never as good as fresh), put the brownies/fudge in the fridge for several hours to cool it to near freezing. Once it's been cooled properly, wrap it as air-tight as possible and put into the freezer in a single layer.
You want it to freeze as quickly as possible, not spend a lot of time in the process.
When you're ready to defrost it, put the fudge in the fridge to defrost slowly (I do over night).
It will be delicious & taste pretty fresh.

I keep cookies and candies in the freezer for up to 4 months and have never had a problem. I recommend wrapping in plastic wrap and then foil to keep the ice crystals from forming. Good planning. What else do you put on your cookie trays? Need some new ideas.

frozen fudge is amazing. i love it when it's still a bit cold. it works fine as long as your fudge is good to begin with ;-) I'm sure it is if you're starting now.

That is such a good question, normally this site is full of people too thick to use google, but your question has left me intrigued and slightly hungry for fudge! :)

-I- wouldn't....thawing makes them a mess...(water discolors the chocolate and makes the sugar break down.)
