Mets fans: who do you root for in this World Series?

ok i haven't been around for a while, but had to answer this. Myself and most of my family are Met fans and we all are pulling for the Phillies. Why should the Mets fans ever hate teh Phillies, they were never rivals before the last 2-3 years and the Mets can only blame themselves for what happened. The Yankees fans arrogance and idiocy is utterly insane. Nothing pleases me more than there pain. They think they are entitled. Most of them don't understand the game, they call sports talk radio like animals bashing managers, GM's, and players. They are spoiled and don't understand how good they have it and don't understand that the reason they have it so good is a flawed economic baseball system which the NFL and NBA have almost perfected to allow smaller markets to have a chance. I don't hate the Yankees players as much as their fans. I have lived in the NY/NJ area all my life and never seen such morons who have less understanding of the game. I think even the Mike Francesa would even admit that 90% of his callers are idiots. No self respecting Met fan is routing for the Yankees. The Yankees could be playing the National Taliban team and I would route for the terrorists to win.

EDIT - JUST FOR THE RECORD, Mets fans are becoming just as big of idiots as Yankee fans which is totally out of hand. Just be happy we are in a pennant race. Think about the Royals, Pirates, Reds and other teams that have no chance.

EDIT - I NORMALLY DON'T TYRAID, BUT LATELY THE YANKEE FANS HAVE GOTTEN ME READY TO BLOW. i WANTED TO WRITE A WHOLE BLOG HAVE THE YANKEES HAVE CORNERED THE ECONOMIC MARKET SINCE THE 20'S BUT IT WOULD JUST END UP A MESS.

The day I root for the Phillies is the day that I am not a Met fan and that will be never. I don't know how some Met fans can root for this team under any circumstances. I know it's the Yankees, but I rather have the Yankees win then the Phreakin' Phillies. I for one am not a Yankee hater, I'm just a Met fan. I don't get the whole Yankee/ Met rivalry really. It's like a rivalry between brothers. It's not really a serious one, they just happen to live with each other and try to out due the other brother. The Phillies on the other hand is like the bully that needs to be stopped . Our big brother has to protect us from the bully. The bully does not protect us if they win, they beat us up and steal our lunch money.

Meet the Mets, greet the Mets.... I think if they know what's good for them they'll root for the Yankees. Casey would have wanted it that way.
